Wigoo Tesla Model Y Juniper Screen Protector Review: The Self-Align Kit Is the Real Win

My takeaway after installing it: the Wigoo kit works well because it removes the stressful part of a Tesla screen protector install. The front tray aligns the large screen protector for you, and the whole job can be done by one person with the tools in the box.

I installed the matte Wigoo kit on a Model Y Juniper with both the front screen and rear passenger screen. The front protector uses a rigid self-align frame; the rear protector is smaller and uses two handling tabs. The final result looked clean, and I liked the matte finish because it cut reflections and did not leave fingerprints easily.

Quick Verdict

Best for

Model Y Juniper owners who want a low-stress front + rear screen install they can do alone.

Main advantage

The self-align front tray takes the hardest part โ€” lining up the large screen โ€” out of your hands.

Finish tested

Matte. I liked the no-glare, no-fingerprint feel, but clear/glossy is a personal preference.

Bottom line

This is a screen protector kit I would recommend to someone afraid of ruining a large Tesla screen install.

What Makes This Kit Different

Most screen protectors sell glass. Wigoo is more interesting because it sells an installation system. The large front screen is where people usually get nervous: hover too long, drift a few millimeters, trap dust, then start lifting and making the problem worse.

The self-align tray solves that. It fit the screen very tightly, and once it was seated, I did not have to manually guess the placement. I followed the printed steps on the tray, waited for the protector to bond, removed the frame, then used the included squeegee to push out the small amount of remaining air.

That is the core reason I like this kit: it makes a job that normally feels like a one-shot mistake easy enough to do alone.

Matte finish: why I liked it

My kit is the matte version. I liked it for two reasons: it does not reflect as much light, and it does not leave fingerprints the way glossy glass does. In a Tesla, that matters because the center screen is touched constantly.

The only caveat is preference. Matte protectors can look slightly softer than clear glass. If your priority is the sharpest factory-screen look, choose your finish carefully. If glare and fingerprints bother you, matte makes sense.

Front screen install: the tray did the hard part

The front install was the best part of the kit. I put the car into Screen Cleaning Mode, seated the tray on the screen, followed the printed instructions, and let the protector attach. After the frame came off, the remaining air was minimal and came out with the included squeegee.

This is the main reason to buy the kit: the tray sits tightly around the screen, so alignment is handled mechanically instead of by hand guessing.

Rear screen install: no frame, but the tabs help

The rear screen protector does not use the same hard alignment frame as the front screen. That is fine because the rear screen is smaller. Wigoo adds two handling tabs, so you can hold the protector, line it up, let it settle, and then peel away the outer layer without touching the adhesive area.

What comes in the box

The box included enough to complete the job without extra tools: the front self-align protector tray, rear protector, screen cleaning supplies, instruction materials, and a squeegee card for final air removal.

Wigoo vs the usual Tesla screen protector choice

OptionBest reason to buyWatch out for
Wigoo matte kitSelf-align front tray, rear-screen coverage, no-glare/no-fingerprint matte finish.Matte texture is personal; verify 16-inch fitment before buying.
Clear glass protectorClosest to factory screen sharpness and color.More glare and fingerprints, especially on a constantly touched center screen.
Cheap no-tray protectorLowest upfront cost. The install risk is higher; one dust/alignment mistake can waste the protector.

My recommendation

If you want a simple, low-stress install and you like matte screens, the Wigoo kit is easy to recommend. The front tray made alignment almost automatic, the included tools were enough, the rear protector was manageable with the tabs, and I could complete the whole install alone.

I would not frame this as the best choice for every owner. It is the right choice if you want matte anti-glare behavior and install confidence. If you want the screen to look as close to bare factory glass as possible, a clear protector may be a better fit.

FAQ

Is the Wigoo screen protector easy to install by yourself?

Yes. In this hands-on install, the front self-align tray made the large Tesla screen easy to line up, and the included tools were enough to complete the install alone without extra help.

Does the Wigoo kit include a rear screen protector?

This tested kit included rear-screen protection. The rear protector did not use a hard alignment tray, but it had two handling tabs that made the smaller screen easy to hold and align.

Is the Wigoo protector matte or clear?

The version I tested was matte. I liked it because it reduced glare and did not leave fingerprints easily, but matte vs glossy is personal. Choose clear if you want the sharpest factory-glass look.

Does the install require extra tools?

No. The kit provided the front alignment tray, cleaning tools, squeegee card, and instructions needed for this install.

Which Tesla Model Y does this Wigoo page apply to?

This page is based on the Wigoo 16-inch matte listing for 2026 Tesla Model Y Juniper Premium/Performance. Always verify your front screen size before buying because Juniper 15.4-inch and 16-inch protectors are not interchangeable.
