Yisuke Trunk Storage Bins in My Model Y Juniper: Hands-On Review
Are the Yisuke trunk storage bins worth it?
For a 2025–2026 five-seat Model Y Juniper, yes, if you keep gear in the rear side wells. I pushed both TPE bins in without removing any trim, the lids sit essentially flush with the trunk floor, and nothing rattles. They keep shoes, balls and sweaty gear off the felt-lined wells. They don't fit the six-seat Model Y L, which needs Yisuke's separate size.

My rating: 4.8 / 5
This is the exact two-bin Yisuke set in my photos. It was $62.69 on Amazon when I checked on Oct 30, 2026 (list price $65.99). Five-seat Model Y Juniper only.
Check the Yisuke bins on Amazon →The Juniper has two deep side wells at the back of the trunk, left and right. They're handy, but they're lined with the same felt as the trunk walls, so anything dirty you toss in leaves dirt behind. Yisuke's set drops a hard TPE bin into each well and closes it with a lid. Here's how it fit my car.

What's in the box: two shaped bins and two TPE lids
You get a left bin and a right bin, each molded to its own side well, plus a lid for each. The lids are ribbed TPE with a recessed finger pull, not carpet, and the underside is stiffened with a honeycomb rib pattern so they don't flex when you set things on them.

Install: no trim removal, just push them in
The mold is very accurate. Each bin follows the shape of its well closely and slides straight down into it. I didn't remove any trim panels or use tools; I pushed each bin in and it was done. Yisuke's listing mentions removing and reattaching the side liner panels, but I didn't need to in my car.

Lids closed: basically flush with the trunk floor
With the lids on, the wells become flat floor again. The lids sit essentially level with the trunk floor. In my photos there's a slight step because I run a 3W trunk mat, which sits a little higher than the bare floor. It causes no practical problem. The bins are rigid TPE and sit firmly in the wells, and I haven't heard any rattling while driving.

The trunk mat is 3W
The black trunk mat between the two lids is 3W's Juniper cargo liner, part of the 3W set in my car. It sits a little above the bare floor, which is the small step you see next to the lids. Use code TESLAMODELGUY at 3W Official for 33% off; the code works on 3W Official floor mats across the site.
What I keep in them
If you carry tools or gym and sports gear, these are where it goes. I keep tennis balls, water bottles, gloves and even my tennis shoes and sneakers in them. The stock wells are lined with felt, so dirt from shoes and gear sticks to it. With the bins in, that dirt stays in a hard tub I can wipe out.
No smell, no noise, and nothing sticking up out of the floor. It's one of those accessories you stop thinking about once it's in.
Yisuke vs Xprite, LUCKEASY and Tesla's own bins
Several brands sell bins for the same two side wells. Yisuke is the one I installed; the others below are listed from their own product pages.
| Set | Price (Oct 30, 2026) | Lids | Listed fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yisuke (installed) | $62.69 | Ribbed TPE | 2025–2026 Juniper, 5-seat |
| Xprite | $55.81 | Carpeted | 2025–2026 Juniper, 5-seat |
| LUCKEASY | $69.90 | Lids included | Juniper Standard, Premium and Performance |
| Tesla Model Y Trunk Storage Bins | $80 at Tesla | Carpeted | 2025+ Model Y (5- or 7-seat style), not Model Y L |
The practical difference is the lid. Carpeted lids blend into the trunk; Yisuke's TPE lids don't, but they wipe clean, which suits muddy or sweaty gear. If you'd rather have a collapsible bin for groceries on the main floor, see the organizer roundup.
What I like and what to know
What I like
- • Accurate mold that drops straight into each well
- • No tools and no trim removal
- • Lids sit essentially flush with the floor
- • Rigid TPE, no rattles, no smell
- • Keeps dirty shoes and gear off the felt
Things to know before buying
- • Five-seat Juniper only; the Model Y L needs Yisuke's separate size
- • The TPE lids don't match the trunk carpet the way carpeted lids do
- • Yisuke lists a 2-month warranty
Verdict: an easy upgrade if you use the side wells
My rating: 4.8 / 5
The Yisuke bins do one job well. They fit the Juniper's side wells precisely, install in seconds, sit flush and stay quiet, and they turn felt-lined pockets into wipe-clean storage. If you carry sports gear, tools or shoes in the trunk, this is a worthwhile buy.

Do the Yisuke trunk bins need any tools or trim removal?
No. In my Model Y Juniper I pushed both bins straight into the rear side wells. I did not remove any trim panels, tape anything or use tools.
Do the lids sit flush with the trunk floor?
Essentially, yes. With the lids closed they sit level with the trunk floor. I run a 3W trunk mat, which sits a little higher than the bare floor, so my photos show a small step, but it causes no practical problem.
Are the lids carpeted?
No. The lids on this five-seat Juniper set are ribbed TPE with a finger-pull handle, matching the bins. They wipe clean instead of matching the carpet.
Which Model Y does it fit?
This set is for the 2025–2026 Model Y Juniper five-seater. It does not fit the six-seat Model Y L; Yisuke sells a separate Model Y L Premium size on the same Amazon listing.
Do the bins rattle or smell?
Not in my car. The TPE bins are rigid, seat firmly in the wells and stay quiet while driving, and there is no smell.
