Use this delivery checklist to inspect paint, panel gaps, glass, interior trim, wheels, and core electronics before signing. Most delivery issues are easiest to document and resolve immediately on-site.
Use this checklist for any new Tesla delivery: Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X, or Cybertruck. Tesla build quality is better than in prior years, but delivery-day misses still happen. Inspect first, then accept.

Wheel and tire condition
Inspect every wheel face and sidewall. Verify no curb rash, cuts, or shipping damage.
Charge port fitment
Door should open/close reliably and sit flush when closed.
Weather seals and trim
Check all door seals, window trim, and wheel-arch trim for gaps, tears, or loose clips.
Camera and sensor placement
Confirm housings are secure and lenses are clean across all camera locations.
Interior Inspection
Main display quality and responsiveness
No dead pixels, discoloration, or touch dead zones. Navigate through core menus.
Seat adjustment and seatbelt function
Test all powered seat movements and verify each seatbelt fully extends/retracts.
Trim and panel fit
Check dash, door cards, center console, and headliner for rattles or loose alignment.
USB ports and wireless charging
Test with your own cable/device to confirm charging on every port/pad.
HVAC performance
Run AC and heat at multiple fan speeds; listen for unusual noise or vibration.
Window, mirror, and steering controls
Verify all switches work and mirrors fold/adjust correctly.
Rear seating functions
Check fold/recline/latch behavior where applicable by model.
